Forty-five pilgrims from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School in Coraopolis, PA, ( a Felician School) ventured to Washington, D.C. on January 22 for the 41st annual March for Life.
Despite the bitter cold, the students and chaperones prayed, sang, and chanted for unborn children without a voice. They began their day with Mass in the OLSH chapel celebrated by chaplain Father Frederick Gruber, assisted by Deacon Kevin Lander.
The excited students arrived at the National Mall to find hundreds of thousands of their peers. The pro-life rally on the Mall presented many engaging speakers as well as uplifting music by Matt Maher.
Students in the group felt blessed to have traveled safely and had the opportunity to advocate against the horrible injustice of abortion. They are eager to return to OLSH to spread the pro-life message of respect for the human dignity of all persons and to continue to pray for an end to crimes against life.
