Prince Gallitzin Cross Award

SM Lee Przybylski is being honored by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown (PA) where she has ministered as principal of Northern Cambria Catholic School in Nicktown since 2000.

Sister Lee will be the recipient of the Prince Gallitzin Cross, which is given annually to Catholics in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown who exemplify the evangelizing spirit of the Prince-Priest, Demetrius Gallitzin.  The letter from the Bishop’s office recognized Sister Lee for her “involvement in parish life and diocesan activities” that has helped “to proclaim the Gospel of Christ through your words and actions.”

Sister will receive the award on June 1 at the 24th annual leePrince Gallitzin Cross Awards Dinner at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson.

In 1990, the Most Rev. Joseph V. Adamec, Bishop-Emeritus of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, established the Prince Gallitzin Cross Awards. Men and women who are honored have been a light to those around them through their lives and ministry in the Church.
