A Triduum of Prayer – Livonia, MI

oooA Triduum of Prayer, created by the late SM Cynthia Strzalkowski, was compiled and used preceding the April 18th observance of the 20th Anniversary of the Beatification of Blessed Angela in Livonia, MI.

Father William Murphy, celebrant of the 7 a.m. liturgy, wore a special chasuble with the picture of Blessed Mary Angela for the occasion.

The planning group incorporated special hymns into Morning and Evening Prayer. According to SM Cynthia Ann Machlik, the sisters were surprised with a variety of hors d’oeuvres as they entered the dining room for the evening meal. She said, “All rejoiced with Blessed Angela on her special day.”

  1. Hi sr Mary capoun. I met you many years ago on the campus of Norte dam. You were very kind to me.

  2. I was always impressed by Sr. Cynthia’s knowledge of and devotion to Blessed Mary Angela and the unique stories she could tell about Angela’s time and life. When the current Litany of Blessed Mary Angela was complete in its present form, she encouraged us to get it approved by the Archdiocese of Chicago, noting that by doing so it means it is approved for the whole church, and the process of applying to the Vatican would be exceedingly complicated and would take years and years.
